Bejing Visitors to Auburn High School

Beijing-Auburn Exchange Initiative

In February, 2013, Auburn High School was proud to host two visiting groups of students from Beijing, China. The exchange was initiated by educators from the High School Affiliated to Beijing Normal University and Alpha Partners Education. Seventy-five students arrived at AHS to shadow students who had expressed an interest in introducing their new friends to academic life in the United States. The two days were filled with opportunities for students to share ideas, culture and friendship.  Feedback on the experience, from both AHS students and students from Beijing was very positive. Students have kept in touch with their new friends and hope to meet again in a future cultural and academic exchange.

Getting an "A" in Challenge
Congratulations to AHS Football Coach, Jeff Cormier, for being chosen as the New England Patriots Coach of the Week winner.   He was chosen due to the team's undefeated 11-0 record and great win on Thanksgiving Day.  In honor of this achievement, the Patriots Charitable Foundation will donate $1,000 to the Auburn High School football program in Coach Cormier’s name, in recognition of his Coach of the Week selection.

Former New England Patriot Andre Tippett visited Auburn High School on November 27th to present the award to Coach Cormier.

We wish the Auburn Football Team GOOD LUCK in their Super Bowl game against Tantasqua, being held on Saturday, December 1st at 4:00 p.m. at Worcester State University...GO ROCKETS!
