Dear Auburn High Families,

Welcome back! We are off to a wonderful start here at Auburn High School, and the energy across the building has been fantastic.

Walking through the hallways and stepping into classrooms this past week, it has been wonderful to see our students back with us. They are settled in, connecting with peers, and fully engaged with their teachers as learning gets under way.

Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership in making these first 11 days a success. We are looking forward to a productive, and exciting school year ahead!

I ask that you review the below updates and reminders so that you don’t miss any important upcoming events.

Updates and Reminders:

Homework/After School times: We want to partner with you regarding supporting your students with work completion. I ask that you check-in with your student regularly in order to make sure they are not falling behind. Students should be receiving homework pretty regularly from this point on. Our teachers are always here to help, their after school availability is as follows: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 1:50 - 2:10. We ask that students please email teachers ahead of time whenever possible.

Picture Re-takes: Casson-Foster will be doing picture re-takes on Monday, Sept 21st. The late fee is waived until Monday 9/21 which is the new due date of forms & retake day!

Pick-up and Drop-Off: Thank You for working with us regarding pick-up and drop off. We realize the challenges at these times of the day. With that being said, I’m happy to report that things are running both safely and smoothly.

iPad Insurance: Protect your device! We ask that you review the attached $50 iPad insurance info—it covers accidental damage throughout the year. I have to share that this is money well spent.

Arrival Time: Students perform best when they don’t have the added pressure of missing part of a class. We ask that you help us with getting your students into school on time. As a reminder our first bell rings at 7:20 and we begin taking attendance at 7:25, being in the school building by that time is not the same as being in class by that time.

Athletics: Our students appreciate your support! Our Fall Season is well underway, and our student athletes are performing very well. We invite you to join us for any of our home games throughout the fall season! You can find our schedule on Arbiter.

12/4 (Fri): Trimester 2 Begins
